On the deck, it's scary
0:03
So guys, we're coming from you from Cape Marina. We still haven't left
0:08
We gotta get out of here. It's way too loud. You're too loud. I am way too loud
0:14
But in the video today, we're gonna go over, basically we're gonna be cleaning out some
0:22
of our engine bilge, cause I gotta get that cleaned cause I gotta kill some rust in there
0:27
and do some painting, but I'm not gonna do that in this video
0:31
And then I'm gonna show what we're doing in the kitchen, just the start of it
0:36
So yeah, gotta get this boat ready to cook so we can..
0:41
It's wobbly out here. It is wobbly. So we can get out of here
0:47
So let's get... I am so not looking forward to that right now
0:52
So let's get into it. I'm in my wife's kitchen, so I thought I'd play the part
0:58
So she's making a delicious white bean recipe this Monday. Curry? Go check that out
1:09
But we're gonna look at this Impiva, I think I'm saying that right, cooktop
1:15
Now this thing was engineered in the US. Don't know if it was made in the US, probably not, but still, we have some engineering behind it
1:24
So this is a cooktop because it will... You can basically turn it on and then it has a..
1:33
You have to touch it and then it'll come on. If you don't have a paw on it though, it won't work
1:38
So it'll give you an E1 error. So you have to get a pan that'll work for this and you have to use a convection or induction
1:47
type pan. Let me grab one. So this is our only pan we have
1:53
So I can go ahead and set this on my induction top
1:58
And we are in a boat, so we have limited power. We have a 400 amp hour battery, 12 volt, with a 3000 watt inverter
2:06
So there's only so much power we have. This thing will go up to 1800 watts on one burner
2:15
So that's pushing it, especially when we're going electric oven. So what I really like about this thing is when you're powering it, you can turn it on
2:30
hit the touch, and then you can actually turn it all the way down and it displays in watts
2:39
it's using. So right now I have it at 300 watts and you'll hear it
2:44
That pan's already getting warm. It's going off and on. Excuse the noise out there
2:50
We got to get out of this marina. But 500, 700, 900, that's the halfway point
3:00
That sucker's really getting warm now. To cook on 1800, basically all you're doing, you're searing a steak
3:09
So we have our generator cranked up and we're only cooking for about five minutes
3:17
I think you only need about two minutes for a steak, a good nice rare steak
3:20
So unsear. So this thing works pretty damn good. I'll turn it off there
3:30
Awesome little piece of cooktop, glass top. One thing I can say is you're going to have to get you a microfiber because you're going
3:40
to get fingerprints all over this thing. You're going to touch it, it's going to look nasty
3:46
Take this pan off. Wipe that off. Let me see how hot that is
3:54
I can still touch it. So that's another good thing, is it only heats, the pan is the only thing that heats
4:01
Now the top gets hot because the pan gets hot. But this thing doesn't produce the heat
4:09
It uses electromagnets to actually heat the pan. Also, which is a feature we're probably never going to use, is it has a little lock feature
4:21
So if you are coming around through here and you have, I guess, you wouldn't want kids
4:29
around it anyway, but it says child safety. Child safety is to keep kids away from it
4:35
But you could lock it, so that way if you accidentally touch a button, it's not going
4:40
to do anything. Let me show you where we're going to install this and what my plans are in a future video. Okay
4:49
Oh, that sucker's still hot. Let me move that over. Let me get a hot pad
4:56
Put that down. Don't want to burn my wife's kitchen. So I'm going to unplug this thing
5:04
I'm going to have to run power over here because this is where I want to install it
5:10
So we'll lift it up, put it right here. But that is not, no bueno
5:18
So what I'm actually going to do is I'm going to disassemble this
5:22
And this, for a force 10 oven, this is the perfect size to fit right in between this metal
5:30
So I can drop it in there. And then I have an oven that's coming up that I'm going to throw in here
5:37
We've already been testing the oven, so that should work out well
5:41
Oh, no, this thing's a little small on me. My wife, it looks so much bigger on her
5:47
But, yeah. Now let's get into, I got to get this engine build all cleaned up
5:54
Because we have a rust issue there. And we're trying to push out this marina in about a month
6:02
So hopefully I can get all this up and get this done
6:15
We got ourselves some groceries. Now we have to figure out where to stick them all
6:20
In that little big fridge. It's not that hard. It's got hot and cold areas though
6:38
It's a lot easier in the other fridge. Everything's easier in a house
6:45
But you also can't sail the world or the Caribbean in a house. No
6:52
Guys, what y'all need is a boat. Because there's not enough room for you to help in the kitchen
7:05
Okay, my wife is making us dinner. It is a little dark tonight
7:12
This is what the land looks like on our boat. But if you've seen any cabbage recipes she does
7:19
Oh they are so good. I'm not making cabbage steaks. No you're not
7:26
We're actually making burritos tonight. And they're going to be yummy. Well I'm making, I'm going to cut these up
7:35
Into shreds. And we're going to put those on our boat, on our..
7:42
Burrito. It's kind of, it's with some, you know, sausage or whatever
7:50
I'm going to cut this up. Glad my husband's video recording me
8:01
This is not a recipe by the way. No, it's not. I probably should do a recipe on this, but..
8:09
It's just something I'm doing. So we're going to blob a little garlic on there
8:17
We have a... I'm going to stir it up later. Mm-hmm. Before I eat it
8:24
And then we have some balsamic, olive oil, salt and pepper. And that's it
8:33
Keep it simple. It's just cabbage. Mm-hmm. Just trying to make like something that would resemble, I guess, sauerkraut. Mm-hmm
8:47
It's going on 400. That ain't going on 400. It's not going on 400? No
8:55
So this is our ninja oven. So I'm going to bake. And I'm putting it down to 350
9:12
And this actually cooks really well. It cooks just like... It cooks like an oven. Mm-hmm
9:20
I've been testing it out. And 25 probably seems about right. Yeah
9:29
It cooks just like an oven. I've been testing out the bake to see if it cooks just like my oven in my gorgeous kitchen
9:39
Oh yeah. She misses that kitchen. Yes I do. But we're going to put this in the kitchen
9:46
But it does. On bake. It does air fry and all that. I don't use it
9:50
I only use bake. So this is actually going to go back into my kitchen
9:56
My house in here. Yeah. That's going to be a later project. Okay
10:01
My wife got them just out of the oven. Oh they look so good
10:05
I'm going to pull this engine bay off. Or this engine cover
10:10
This is the rear of the engine. Because it needs to be re-insulated
10:14
So this is a major things to do list. You can see here all this is coming out
10:23
So I did find some insulation on the boat. And this is the new stuff to go in here
10:30
Before I rip this off I'll show you what it looks like. That is what it looks like
10:35
So probably going to have to scrub in here too. Just so the other adhesive will stick
10:44
This is some nasty crap though. I imagine this is original. Oh yeah
11:00
Okay so I got all that crap scraped out. And this is what it looks like now
11:05
Here's what our wood looks like. So I have no clue what I'm doing
11:09
But I've got this and some scissors. Okay
11:40
I think it's done. It's not the prettiest. Not the easiest for an end
11:48
For sure. Okay, we have that insulated. It looks a lot better than it did
11:57
I really don't like this is the factory type insulation. I'm not a fan of it
12:03
I would probably go with something else. I think the noise cancellation may be easier to work with than this stuff
12:10
But we are back at the back of our engine here. And we are going to go through and clean
12:18
Start cleaning from the back here. Down here. If you'll see this white stuff on the edge of this board
12:25
This is just white mold. You can take vinegar and just wipe that off
12:30
It'll kill it. This has not been cleaned yet since we've been on the boat
12:34
I did that. But, yeah. Let me turn on some light and we'll get a better view of this
12:41
Okay, so this is what we're working with down here. And you'll see if you go back and see that dripless video
12:48
That thing was pouring in water. We got that fixed. But we're going to go through and we're going to clean this
12:54
And we're going to clean the front of the engine. And hopefully get to the bilge
12:59
I have some degreaser in my use. And then we want to come back and start killing some of this rust
13:05
And doing some touch-up painting. So now what I got is the simple
13:09
Keep hitting my head on this thing. I got the simple degreaser
13:13
And a bottle brush. So I was recommended this for getting in all the tight areas and cracks
13:22
So I'm going to give it a whirl. I got the tripod on the edge of this mess
13:27
And let's spray it down and see if we can get some clean going
13:32
I want more of a spray. And not a stream. If not, I may have to get a tougher solution
13:47
But there's also. You know, clamp thing so I can see what else I need to replace in here
14:00
I don't know what that noise was. Probably need to bring a wire hose in here and spray this down
14:09
My wife loves it when I bring wire hoses in the house
14:15
Okay, another clamp broke. This was attached to the wall right here
14:20
Holding the exhaust hose. And I got to get that replaced. So it completely just broke off on this side
14:29
The other side came off. I just moved it and it fell off too
14:33
So just more crap needs to be replaced. Okay, so I got this all cleaned up
14:40
It's looking a lot better. I even cleaned out this AC filter
14:46
Let me move the sheet out of the way. That AC is broke
14:50
But yeah, this is the one. Go back and see that video
14:54
Our dripless was dripping excessively. So I'll show you how to fix that
15:00
Just go back to where we're sinking our boat. But yeah, that's looking good
15:05
Now I have a lot more to do. And while I was cleaning that, my wife cleaned the white mold off this
15:12
So put this back in. Put this guy back on. And hopefully this side is done
15:31
I do have to come back and I'm going to start killing rust and stuff
15:37
But it's going to take me a little bit to get all this cleaned up
15:41
I was just taking our dog for her poop adventures. And I saw this line in the water and fished it out
15:48
This would foul a prop quick. So y'all be careful out there
15:53
This was about 50 foot of line. I'm going to dry it out and see if I can use it
15:59
Now it's time to finish up with our front side of our engine
16:03
Getting the grease out and cleaning up that bilge. You can see back there
16:07
Still looks good back there. But not so much up here. So let's see
16:13
Yeah, that looks pretty. We're pretty even. And my wife doing the dishes
16:23
She just loves the space in here. So after this is all done, the end goal is to clean up all this rust
16:31
And prevent rust in the future. I'm surprised that hose clamp is still there
16:38
But we got to clean this up. Can't turn that valve. I already sprayed some PB Blaster on it
16:44
Okay, I got all that side cleaned up. That looks a lot better
16:50
And you can tell a stark difference between this side right here
16:58
Okay, so that right there. That looks night and day difference. Now I just got to pump that water out
17:08
And scrub under there. So now that we got the top of this cleaned up pretty good
17:13
I'm going to pump out the water in there. I'm going to see if I can squeeze my hands down there
17:18
And get the rest of it out. But I'm using this pump to pump it out
17:24
Let's see if I can video any of this. So you can see this pump in action
17:31
This is going to be hard. And there we go. Now I'm going to get the rest of this pumped out off camera
17:42
Because I can't get it on camera. But if you see down there
17:46
That's the water we have to get pumped out. So as you can see down there
17:50
I got most of the water out. Now I'm going to try to scrub this
17:54
Okay, we have now back here clean. All the way up to there
17:58
And yeah, I have a little spot there. I'm eventually going to get
18:03
My arms are just too big. And it's not saying anything. It's just a very small space
18:09
I was trying to brush on a stick. Our dog is interested in that too
18:15
And I got all this. All the way around. I got under the engine here
18:23
And all. And then on this side. I got all under the engine as well
18:29
There's just one spot I can't reach. There's one thing I have left in our bilge
18:35
Previous video. I didn't get done. She's always washing dishes. But not always
18:44
But yeah, I have to get the float mount. So it doesn't move
18:49
I think I'm going to drill in. Let's see if Danielle is too happy about that
18:57
I don't like extra holes in the boat. So hopefully I can tighten it up
19:04
But if not, I can put another screw in it. Because this got hung over here
19:08
And it wouldn't come up. And let this bilge come on. So I just need to put it right here
19:15
To call my wife. I'm going to actually just tighten this thing up a bit
19:20
See if I can do that. And that will ease her mind
19:32
And that stopped the movement. Without having to drill another hole. So as excited as I was to drill a new hole in the boat
19:41
I fixed it without a new hole. Just tightening it up. And my wife really appreciates that as well
19:50
Getting ready for a SpaceX launch. Out here on the deck of our boat
19:54
And it's going to be awesome. I hope. It's a Falcon 9
19:59
So yeah, it's going to launch a lot more Starlink up there
20:03
It's going to be awesome. There's going to be a launch over there. No
20:08
Act like that doesn't exist. No dogs over there. Are you cold
20:18
Are you cold? There he is. Where? There it is. We should hear the boom here shortly
20:29
There it goes. Look brother. It's a rocket. Starlink. Giving us more internet
20:48
It gets faster as it gets up there. There it goes. Oh yeah
20:53
There you go. The boosters are going to come down in the ocean
20:58
Holy moly. It's so loud. Why is it going sideways
21:11
Because of the wind. I've got to get another set for headsail
21:23
Do you think it's going to make it? Yeah, it's going to make it. It kind of seems like it's going in another direction
21:29
It's going to make it. Yeah, it's a cloudy day out here
21:38
And it's cold. It's still January. It's not too cold today. It's 61 is our high
21:48
Hopefully you enjoyed this video. Give us a like. Subscribe. Leave some comments
21:56
Also, y'all stay tuned for this girl's recipe coming out next week. Monday
22:03
It's going to be yummy. Y'all saw a slight preview in this video
22:09
It's not the full thing. Y'all watch it on Monday. And with that, y'all please take care
22:38
