[Music] okay so dogs got shots uh we got everything done that
0:07
we're going to do here in Coco we're heading to Dragon point we're going down this is our trip down to Vero but yeah
0:14
got to get out of here bab's doing dishes I'm going to get the uh uh Bridal
0:20
off on the front and get this engine started let's get home and this is what it looks like when
0:27
you have a good holding anchor it's straight up and down and still not coming
0:34
[Music] up or or we're really hung on [Music]
0:40
something guy up covered in markles
0:49
though there we go I got to get this tied up cuz we're drifting now and here
0:55
we go we're ready to get on out of here I'm going pop this sucker in forward remember we're going that one yeah we're
1:02
going to tville she I keep on saying tville and she's like no we're not going back there so we're going south and uh
1:11
I'll probably go throw up the head a little bit guess uh maybe save a little gas we are
1:17
moving at uh the speed of smell right now so yeah I think we're going to have
1:24
a lot of sloughing in that head sale yeah so beautiful Dolphins over there though though so yeah we'll car you
1:32
along for the ride let's get uh moving Captain Danielle out here at the helm
1:38
see how she did yeah look what I did well because we started going that way
1:43
she can't color in the lines I was trying you just poin towards the bridge babe I'm trying to but I can't see that
1:51
and the snap okay we're going off bridge we're going off we're going off again okay you take
1:57
over okay we're back on track [Music]
2:02
cont I'm I'm not very good I've got there's something wrong with our AO pilot I got to look at that so normally
2:09
this would be no big deal but you know if I leave the hel she just wants to drive all over the road I was watching
2:16
the deps yeah I said just point towards the bridge the center of the
2:22
bridge and then it started drifting and I was like okay what how how much
2:28
correction do I need and it wasn't nothing was
2:36
turning so but she'll get better so first ba Danielle right there
2:44
I don't really like see I never really even drive in a car either I know how to drive have my driver's license but he
2:53
always drives so it's his fault it is my fault but we're about halfway there and
3:00
uh only a few boats passed us they've all called really nice so been a good
3:06
good trip I think she was uh aiming for that
3:11
green buoy up there she wanted to uh refresh our uh our uh jail cat well it's
3:18
not just a straight shot to that bridge it's like the icw is curvy it's straight
3:25
enough not really but yep so okay keep on keep it
3:31
on so we got about 35 minutes until we reach anre the whole way here are the
3:38
wind has been very slow but directly on our B so no selling for us
3:45
but it's uh still you know it was a nice trip and uh I tried to calibrate the uh
3:52
autopilot but that failed so I going to have to chase down Mars fun
4:01
but yeah we once we get there I'll show you a little bit of Danielle dropping
4:06
the anchor that's her favorite job I do have the uh there there she is
4:14
right there but I do have the uh um the anchor tied in there to the uh cleat so
4:23
she'll have to untie that
4:29
from Coco I didn't get her putting down the anchor chain but baby got played in
4:35
the mud a bit that thing is hard to get down I don't like the roller uh the
4:41
Roller's rolling fine it's just the anchor is oversized and so it's hitting that so you had to push it to the side
4:47
you never did that before I know I I I'm going to work on it more things to work
4:53
on you want to use the water out here SMS like yeah but I have it on oh okay I'll try on
5:00
well that's an interesting
5:10
sound yeah burrow we had to pick up some water it's a beautiful morning we woke
5:17
up this uh morning and we're getting out of here somebody's listening to their
5:23
podcast going out fishing but yeah just going to pull up anchor get back on we're heading out to these little spoil
5:30
Islands just down the Waterway here here we go again on our own my wife's look at
5:37
crab pods out here yeah we got to fix that that's looks horrible it's a
5:43
sunroof it's big but yeah we're gone and uh there's my baby she's on
5:52
crackpipe Lookout and here we go my baby's out there looking for them
6:00
crack pipes crab pods there's one right there that's a
6:08
coconut or coconuts we're looking for coconuts or Crap
6:15
pots my wife says I'm not doing a good job lying up on the hole under the
6:24
bridge yeah but she's sitting on the side shees she she's seeing that side she still on this other side you'd see
6:31
the hole a little better but there's the hole from my
6:36
perspective so we're going through we're just staying on the starboard side of
6:43
the hole now if you can see Navionics it wanted me to go on the other side of
6:52
this that's probably not ideal for a sailboat you probably get by with that with a pontoon or motorboat but not a
7:02
sailboat see it right there okay my babe's up there she's going to get the anchor down we're just
7:11
across just across from the islands over here got the ice maker going maybe a
7:17
little island time let's see here let's go on this side there she
7:23
is we're in about 9 ft of water right
7:28
now so bunge CED the door open and we're
7:34
going to get the anchor down so my arm trying to do that my baby's uh the anchor gets stuck and it's
7:42
a little hard to get off yeah I never I used to do that before we're we're ruing
7:48
this side of our thing uh I'll work on that baby but there's the
7:57
island guess we yeah there's our anchor I'm going to
8:03
throw a little bit more scope and uh we'll sell in for the night tomorrow is supposed to be a little bit more
8:10
windy you okay babe thing I did
8:16
yesterday got the snow on I'm going to put some revs on it make sure we stay
8:23
put there we're in Reverse we let slow lanch back
8:29
straighten out and slowly apply some
8:40
pressure n f w we should stir up the bottom pretty good blue boat coming down
8:46
the icw do you want a port side or starboard side pass [Music]
8:55
over didn't move so we can shut this engine off we're
9:03
done now my bab's in here cooking up we had hamburgers last night and that's what we're having for
9:10
lunch starving cheeseburgers right
9:15
there yeah she's uh going to eat
9:22
because I I don't know I didn't feel like doing this it was a short trip
9:27
Bella's right there she made it through so we're all good now I just got to turn everything
9:33
off okay guys so we need some diesel I'm using one of these uh
9:38
Shake uh things and these are pretty easy these if you uh have a boat
9:44
definitely get one of these but just Pump It Up
9:51
keep and then let it drain and it'll fill up your tank quite
9:58
fast and uh I'm might to get some toilet paper it's hard to do with one hand okay
10:05
guys so I had uh this is 10 20 20 gallons of diesel that gave me a a half
10:10
a tank and because we're almost we're almost on E so don't need to run it down
10:15
that low but there's the the Carnage yeah so get you one of them Shake hoses
10:21
if you want to uh easily fill up something without making a big mess so
10:29
this a new destination we have really quiet really unprotected so we are
10:37
surrounded by water we're off the icw but uh hopefully we don't get any
10:43
hectic winds cuz that probably make some hectic waves so now that we're in
10:48
Melborne we're going to have a little island time cuz uh my wife likes this island is that where we're at Mporn yeah
10:56
this is a b36 SPO Island so there is they have no name for it not
11:02
like horseshoe crab Island where we were but uh dog excited to go there's there
11:07
she is right there yeah so we're going to get and uh well we've been to this
11:13
island before but nice little yesth of July Fourth of July here and saw fireworks all the way around yeah it was
11:21
awesome but got the dingy down and we're ready to go well I thought we were going to get
11:28
all into ourselves but we we have guests so we're going to stay over here on this
11:33
little area cuz our dog she gets Sparky
11:41
yeah I wish the sun was out and there's our little
11:46
puppy oh I got pee everywhere got pee
11:52
everywhere okay guys I just got crapped on yep I got crapped on go away fly all
11:59
overhead so this is happened to Danielle last
12:05
time at this island okay we had a huge just flock of birds just flying around
12:12
here and they crapped all over me last time here they crapped over
12:19
Danielle Bella you're a bird dog right Danielle's up under here hiding
12:26
under the trees well hopefully the tree we catch the poop I've been pooped on
12:33
three times in my life my first time I am not getting a fourth one it won't go away and Bella is just
12:40
barking at him no she's barking at us now barking it us cuz she doesn't know what we're
12:46
doing yeah we're overreacting I don't like getting pooped on it's gross
12:54
yeah away I'll go sit back down there they are they're they're looking for us up there
13:00
Yep they're up there trying to
13:05
guess I like Beach fires but my babe is like you didn't have to waste your time
13:12
for that well I can't feel any of it his legs are blocking it all I'm already
13:19
chilly but yeah making me stay out on the keeps the bugs away there was no
13:27
bugs no bugs so my babe's ready to get off the island bird crap and bees and there's a bee and
13:35
there's a huge ant that was calling my leg and it's getting
13:40
chilly yeah but our it's kind of getting darker and we need to find our boat over
13:46
there so but the fire is out and we're good so we're going to go I poured water
13:53
all over it and where you yeah
14:03
what are you doing trying to get the the engine a
14:10
little higher so I can start it getting off these rocks we're on
14:16
rocks right now I know no we're not on rocks
14:29
[Music] okay I'm coming in here I go let's turn
14:36
this way we made it off the beach my wife
14:45
wanted to come to the windy side come this way I wanted to go over there so I blow her get off the boat there was a
14:52
bunch of boats over there earlier and then we just didn't move so let's go see if our boat's still there it better be
15:00
and here we [Music]
15:07
go it's going to be me I'm on this side our boat still
15:13
there yeah it's way out there but yeah it's still there
15:30
you got you got to look for uncoming uh
15:35
traffic I will see any done this
15:42
way oh no there's
15:48
nothing say byebye to the island got to go to a new island
15:54
tomorrow yeah would you have
16:02
fun came out why are they so
16:08
out a big old carpan crawling on the leg and a bird
16:14
CRA on bridge yeah and I was like you know what we open the saor
16:21
welcome and and yep look at them
16:26
Birds I would have got C do you know how hard it is to was my hair on
16:32
board I only have one more one and a half more tanks of water right
16:38
now my hair is down to here and it takes a lot of water and some people asked uh how do
16:46
you uh store your Dy down low and keep it from subject to following ceas so
16:52
here's how I do it so the angle of my dangle here is pretty slanted
16:59
and uh I tie it to these uh two handles right here but this
17:07
up here is probably about 4T off the water on the uh back side of the de or
17:12
the port side no that's starboard side of course you want to make sure that
17:17
your uh your fuel thing is closed because or else that will leak Fuel and
17:23
you're dinging and you don't want that I've never done that but that would be a chance right now we're almost run on E
17:30
so I'm going to have to add some more fuel before the next Island okay so we have a little island
17:37
adventure last night and now we got to go cuz uh tomorrow is going to be cold
17:44
cold cold and we want to get down more towards a Vero
17:49
Beach so I just got to get the anchor up and you back here at the
17:55
helm so we're moving and uh our dep shows 8T our draft is
18:03
6'4 so yeah I'm going out a different
18:09
direction if I would have followed my path I probably would have been better off cuz it would have been 9 ft to 10
18:15
foot but the maps the charts say we're good here I'm using
18:21
Navionics and uh Argo but uh
18:27
yeah yeah it looks it's holding stay we're almost back in NY de we're about to come up to the the little channel
18:33
marker here and we'll be set what do you think
18:38
babe I'm not used to moving this much you every day you still have the
18:45
sunroof over your head babe
18:55
yeah okay so it's just me and the dog my
19:00
wife went downstairs to tidy the house a bit cuz she lives with two filthy
19:08
animals but uh yeah I'm I'm about to bump up the knots right now we're doing
19:14
about 4.2 knots and uh hopefully uh I think during
19:21
this cold front I'm going to look for that uh my uh oh what's that oh what's that
19:29
that gambling U oh picks up the satellites but yeah for my navigation
19:35
because not having autopilot sucks but I'm going to get that
19:42
fixed on a higher note though this marks the furthest south we've been on this
19:49
boat that island is the furthest we've gone down the icw in this boat now on
19:57
the dinghy we did go to this other Island so let me turn you around here so we have that island and we went to that
20:04
Island as well I like that Island
20:12
better well it's getting a lot more narrow on sides to
20:17
side and uh yeah got town over there but
20:22
let me show you around here got this town right over there
20:28
some islands over there and let's not steer into the shallow and there's our marker up there
20:36
we're heading to the yeah I this is the smallest area I've been in
20:43
on the icw so car good thing is our wind calmed down a
20:48
little bit we were gusting upwards of 26 27 knots and now we're
20:57
hitting well I guess it's getting back up there but it was down to 16 just a
21:02
second ago so yep that would be a dice little beach if
21:09
we could anchor over here but we
21:14
can't and our dog is over here having herself her best
21:21
life that would be a nice Beach day it wasn't so close to the icw
21:29
they're like right at the very edge and then it gets really shallow really
21:38
quick so how you liking the Jour Journey so far babe I haven't been up
21:44
here cleaning the house yes was
21:49
dirty so we're cruising along about 5
21:55
knots about 2,000 rpms you get or not
22:01
but this is what we're looking like around here now and Danielle does not like driving
22:08
without the autopilot no it's the wheels too
22:14
tight so when the wind tries to take me it's hard for me to get back on
22:24
course oh yeah I won't be able to see them they're they're [Music]
22:33
May oh well that's our dolphin cam okay that bridge right there goes
22:42
out that way and we're healing a bit from this wind we can't get through that uh Bridge
22:49
cuz it's only 27t I
22:54
believe keep really close to these outs on the
23:00
icw there we are uh yeah traffic's been a little
23:08
wild this is a smaller boat than usual though getting our asses rocked pretty
23:16
regular okay we are here we got got to go under our first new bridge it's far
23:22
south as we are and we're heading off to Pine Island should be a nice sanage but uh
23:30
we've got 42 minutes till we get there and uh yeah new experiences right now
23:38
it's a little chwy Yeah tomorrow's supposed to be cold tomorrow's supposed to be really cold I
23:44
got to figure out which hole I go through under this bridge [Music]
23:50
so the fun okay that's our
23:55
bridge and boy F in the
24:02
hole so we just crossed that bridge and said it was 62t scared scared Danielle yeah that's a
24:12
there's an Anchorage right here so this is what I was actually looking at for
24:17
the first Anchorage it looks a little close to the icw though
24:25
yeah and it looks like some permanent residents have live
24:34
here so what do you think of this little area I like I'm going down river yeah
24:41
it's really sheltered in here
24:46
so didn't that there oh no oh he's just parked there
25:01
oh fun look how close we are to the land
25:06
land looks like it may rain so my baby's sitting there closing up the
25:13
windows uh yeah and this boat handles like it's on Rails look at can take
25:19
these turns no problem but yeah this
25:26
is interesting we have haven't driven this boat in anything like this
25:32
before hopefully our Anchorage has got plenty of room that I
25:37
picked what do you think of this babe very
25:43
strange we've been on the ice G here for a long time and it's always very very
25:50
wide very wide this is this is like camping in a river that's yeah condos on
25:59
one side nothing but trees on the other just hope it sound buggy though yeah M
26:06
with the cold front coming in it shouldn't be too buggy but yeah it's going to be uh kind of feel like
26:11
something's nipping at me but I can't find anything it's nerves nerves would nip in there it's probably
26:18
nerves but yeah it's just you get out of this channel it goes shallow real quick
26:26
here so right now we're 11 ft my wife says I'm skating The
26:31
[Music] Edge the Anchorage is it's deep enough
26:37
yes it's deep enough Okay so we've dropped anchor and
26:43
uh yeah it's this is a Pine Island Anchorage I'm guessing one of these
26:48
islands around here is Pine Island maybe that one but uh I don't see any pine trees on
26:56
it in the middle of the woods yes I I thought it seemed to have a lot of
27:01
reviews on the srage so I thought it'd be more busy but there's uh one other
27:07
boat way over there and that's hole in the wall Anchorage so yeah I guess we are in a close to a
27:16
hole in the wall my husband said there was a town I might have to look that I don't see
27:21
one so I guess uh bo stuck on boot yeah and plus it's going to be cold and so
27:27
going to the islands might not even be an option while we're here so and our dog wants dog food cuz okay just a
27:34
minute so we got to take care of that but let me show you what Bella is all about here what do you want you want
27:39
food you want food oh oh Mom stuck the cup in your bowl you there was some moris was in
27:46
there you got them all you couldn't have moved
27:51
it okay guys so I'm tired of no autopilot so got drill in hand I'm going to find this uh GPS d Le so I can uh
28:00
hopefully not hand steer anymore so the first place I'm going to look is I'm in my bedroom my wife said
28:07
put a plastic bag down I think I just throw the bed up and uh it's under here
28:12
and uh got to take that little cover off okay so there's a few screws around
28:21
it I think there's three uh on each side two in the middle
28:27
but go under here and start taking these
28:34
[Music] out okay I got everything out now let's
28:40
take this down hopefully there's no dead rats in here nope no dead
28:46
rats okay so I believe these right here are coming from like the instruments and
28:53
stuff and it's running back there through a little
28:58
hole so I got to go back there and see what I can
29:05
find okay guys so I found that darn radar
29:11
dongle Gizmo thing I've traced all through the Lazarus back there under the
29:16
bed coming from the our Helm and through the
29:21
floor and ending up all the way back here so this is where it
29:29
is and uh I hope my speaker is not affecting it
29:35
cuz if so I have to move that if that's what caused this it was my own doing but there's my
29:45
speaker okay so I've moved the speaker i' right there is my right uh my
29:53
GPS dongle and I've got this
29:58
[Music] on and my
30:04
uh there's my compass so all this heartache and
30:11
headache was caused by me and my need for base so I'm going to have to put my
30:17
need for base somewhere else because that's not working for us so I have my auto pilot on we're
30:25
swinging and it's trying to do the course
30:31
correction of course we're not moving so it's not going to correct much so my
30:36
babe was like I don't want to buy more parts and leave it to me to screw up
30:45
something well first off I didn't know where the GPS dongle was cuz magnets will affect your your GPS because it
30:52
works off electrom magnetics to figure out where you are on the earth so we
30:58
totally screwed that one up or I did yeah I didn't do that no but now cuz she
31:04
doesn't like driving the boat but with autopilot she can pretty much keep it on
31:10
course and you know it's not as nerve-wracking for her so that's a good thing to have
31:33
right [Music]
